Jago was born May 2007. Out of working parents (Sedgehurst Netherstowey & Flintwood Snowstorm) and with a working background he is a delightful dog to own. His Kennel Club name is Laxford Enesco.

Weighing in at 31.5 kilos he is on the bigger side for a working Clumber but he is an agile, speedy & willing hunter. Not as quick as a springer but he covers the ground well.
He has taken to training well although he can be a bit stubborn and wilful at times but that is Clumber's for you. I find that coming down hard on him does not work as he just turns off and simply goes through the motions with no enthusiasm or joy. Once this happens it takes quite a while to get him going again. Persuasion seems to work far better than force in is case.

Water holds no fear for him at all and he enters water, whether still or flowing, willingly and with gusto.
As he is the first Clumber I have owned & trained, it is just as much a learning process for me as it is for him. Hopefully we will come out of it both a lot wiser.

Jago has had his hips scored and the results were a fantastic 4 & 3 = 7. For a Clumber Spaniel that is an excelent result as the breed average is approximately 40.
